Standard Possession Order

Time with your child is of utmost importance. If possible, you and the other parent should reach mutual agreements on when your child will be with one or the other. Texas' starting point for a visitation arrangement is called the Standard Possession Order. It sets out specific dates and times, sets out specific pick up and drop off locations, it cover weekends, summer and holidays, and also covers what changes will occur if one party moves away.

The Standard Possession Order is very specific and may not be right for you and can be changed by agreement. Our experienced lawyers' can help you craft a schedule that is not 'one size fits all' and that will work best for your child as well as you.
